Kappa ♥ Cucumbers

'Sup! The name's Ryn (aka Rwn [pronounced 'rune'] or Moogle), and I'm the geeky little entity behind this blog. I'm really shite about writing about myself, but I thought I could try and use this page to at least give some notes about myself and the way this thing works.

First off, some demographics... My personage:

is 17 days older than Return of the Jedi (and born on Mother's Day)
is a non-binary queer person
is American
speaks Sarcasm, Gibberish, English (kind of), and some Japanese (in that order)
has ADHD and a tendency to hyperfixate on things

So, I do want to make a note that, though this is going to be a majority geek-centred blog, it is, first and foremost, a personal blog, so my posts might stray away from conventionally geeky things from time to time. Knowing me, though, that probably won't happen too terribly often.

Also, please be aware that Spoiler Disclaimers are only applied to posts concerning media six months old or less. Chances are, though, pretty much everything will have information in it that could be considered spoiler-y if you haven't seen/read/heard/whatever the subject in question.

Let's see...

Concerning a bit more about myself, I grew up on Star Trek, Star Wars, and British tele. Around high school I started branching into Japanese anime, starting with Sailor Moon. I don't watch it so much these days, though, as I've taken to prefer reading manga over watching anime. I'm big into comic book films and shows, and am working on getting into actually reading the comics themselves. More of a Marvel person (top three characters are Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Moon Knight, but Hawkeye is my favourite Avenger), though I do have a soft spot for Batman. I love the Kamen Rider shows, as cheesy as they are, and Kamen Rider W is my favourite. I love Sherlock Holmes and Arthurian Legend. I collect maneki-neko, chopsticks, ball-jointed dolls, and (somewhat begrudgingly) Funko Pops. Neil Gaiman is my favourite author.

I have three cats: Zoe (named after Zoe Washburn, Firefly), Bishop (named after the character of the same name, Kamen Rider Kiva), and Eadwynn (because Old English is best English). I want to get a dog at some point, though, and perhaps a tarantula.
